HENDERSON, KY - Charlie Smith, 61, Smith Mills, formerly of Sturgis, died at 9:10 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2010, at Lucy Smith King Care Center.

He was employed at H&S Farm Supply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Royster Smith and Mary Lois Odom Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Judy Smith; one daughter, Mary Rayburn of Smith Mills; two sisters, Juanita Sale of Sturgis and Betty Beach of Providence; and one brother, John Smith of Clay.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. The Rev. Jim Cowan will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
